GET THE MOST FROM YOUR SKINCARE BY KEEPING IT SIMPLE.

It's time to SIMPLIFY!

It takes approximately 28-30 days for skin cells to work their way up through the layers of the epidermis (the top layer of the skin), so you want to give your skin at least 30 days to adjust to a new routine.

One of the things people like to do is get the most from all the products they have in their cabinet. This is usually because they don’t want to be wasteful, so they go through all the different half empty bottles and sample packets, chopping and changing from one product to the next.

This is not ideal for your skin so I would like to encourage you to scrap this idea, and scrap all those samples! Pick one product range and stick to it consistently for at least a month.

Go through the skincare products in your bathroom cabinet and get rid of anything half used, any sample packets, anything that has passed its use-by date. Get rid of all of it! They're not doing your skin any favours

Once you have decluttered, it's time to replace your cabinet with the product(s) you intend to use for the next 30 days (minimum).

If you've never had a facial before, don't worry! I'm here to help, and at your appointment I'll be tailoring everything to your specific needs, so you'll be getting the best advice for your skin without confusion or overwhelm.

We'll keep it simple and relevant, sticking to the basics, so that you have an easy skincare routine to stick to in between treatments.

Facials are really not as complicated as you might expect, think of your facial as a deep cleanse where you can relax and leave the details to me. And then think of your home skincare routine a a few minutes of simple maintenance that you can enjoy each day.

So what happens at your first facial appointment?

We'll take a close look at your skin to establish your skin type and the 'phase' it's currently in. The skin phase is determined by things like your age, the season and weather, and your lifestyle.

Once we're clear on this, I can tailor the treatment to suit your skin. We'll start with a deep cleanse, removing makeup and impurities. Depending on your skin's needs we'll exfoliate, steam, massage and moisturise your face with 100% natural products, leaving it soft, clean and revitalized.

As a general rule, you'll come for a facial appointment each month so I can monitor your progress, adapt the treatment and home care advice if necessary, and you can lie back, relax and enjoy an hour of 'you time'.

There's so much information out there about skincare; millions of products flooding into an already saturated market, thousands of new skincare fads, and constantly changing advice. It's overwhelming and often confusing for the consumer. So my best advice is to KEEP IT SIMPLE and keep it as natural as possible.

You don't need lots of products, you just need the right ones.

Your skin needs four main things... to be clean, nourished, hydrated and protected. If you're providing these things for your skin, it will be healthier, more radiant and less prone to skin issues. The good news is that it doesn't take loads of products to achieve these four things. Multi-purpose products can do them all in one.

Once you have the right products for your skin, all you need to do is get into a regular home skincare routine and monthly facials. Simple, easy, enjoyable.

The more your skin improves, the less makeup you'll need, the less time you'll spend worrying about it, and the more compliments you'll get! And who doesn't like compliments?!
